Hi! I am a Family Literacy coordinator with our District (Dept of ACE, ESOL) and work closely with community partners in Palm Beach County. We have invited several of these partners to our video classes to do presentations: BRIDGES spoke about stress management, AVDA came to talk to our students about domestic violence/child abuse, our local community officer from PBSO will address current events and what to do if you are stopped by police, and the Caridad Center is scheduled to do a health presentation about COVID-19. We have always included community partners and resources in our class lessons, and we have found ways to continue having these guest speaker presentations within the virtual platform.
